Sandos Hotels & Resorts
Make your clients next vacation their best yet!

Sometimes going to a new place can be scary, and can often leave your clients feeling like they don’t know exactly what to expect. That’s why Sandos Hotels & Resorts has put together some tips on when your advising your clients on their trip to Mexico.

The Weather

Ok ok, we all have heard the fantastic things about the beautiful weather in Mexico, and that’s probably one of the main reasons someone may choose to vacation in Mexico, right?

Let’s just say it’s hot hot hot, and depending on where you are coming from cough Canadacough, it’s going to be a whole new experience!

So what does that mean?

It means pack lots and lots of sunscreen and aloe vera!

The Gastronomy

Do your clients like Pina Coladas, and eating tacos on the beach? That is definitely possible in Mexico and frankly, it gets much better than that!

Although Mexico is well known for tacos and tequila, there is more than that. Tell your clients to see it for themselves at the Gourmex Restaurant in Sandos Playacar!

It offers traditional Mexican Cuisine and Drinks! If the cuisine in Mexico isn’t for them, there are plenty of options on and off the resort that offer selections from all over the world.

The Culture

One of the biggest things to prepare for when coming to Mexico is the different culture. This includes religion, etiquette, festivities, food, music, and much more.

Though your clients may experience just a piece of it, it is important that they remember that respect is key. When you’re in a different place, you need to keep an open mind to what is around you and be prepared that it will be just a little bit different.

Your clients can experience just how diverse the country is through the Mayan Night Performances in Sandos Caracol, or the Mexico Nights full of traditional cuisine, mariachi bands, and dancing at Sandos Playacar, Sandos Finisterra, and Sandos Caracol.

The Shopping

Sandos Hotels & Resorts has 3 key items that every traveller should be aware of for when they decide to go shopping in Mexico:

Local Artists
A big thing your clients will experience if they decide to shop in the tourist areas outside of the resort (ex. 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen) is people trying to sell them everything and anything.

It can be a bit overwhelming at times, but a lot of places have some homemade and unique products, so we suggest that travellers check them out, you may just find a diamond in the rough!

The Washrooms
Your clients must be prepared for the lack of public bathrooms. They can sometimes be far, especially in shopping tourism areas.

So what do you tell your clients? If someone asks them if they need to use the washroom before leaving the resort, take the opportunity!

Another tip is to carry a bit of change, because if they do happen to find a public bathroom they may need a couple of pesos to use it.

Bargaining
Tell your clients to brush up on their bargaining skills because they’re going to need them!

Being in a tourist area, some things tend to be high priced, so we recommend haggling just a little when buying. However, remember to respect their art and work because a lot of it is truly beautiful and one-of-a-kind!

The People

At all Sandos Hotels and Resorts, they treat their guests like family. Your clients can expect great service and friendly employees waiting to assist them in any way they need!

Off the resort, Mexico is full of some of the most fun, exciting, and kind people they’ll ever meet. Also, if they’re worried about the language barrier, tell them not to to worry too much. Sandos Hotels in Mexico are located in key tourist destinations and there is always someone that speaks English.

Those are a few things to expect while selling your next Mexico Vacation to Sandos Finisterra, Sandos Cancun, Sandos Caracol, or Sandos Playacar.
