Air France is gearing up for a busy summer season out of Canada, with a program that includes over 59 flights per week.

During the peak summer season, the airline will offer the following:

• 4 daily flights from Montreal departing at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
• 2 daily flights from Toronto
• The Ottawa-Paris route, launched with 5x/week service in 2023, will become daily starting June 17 with an Airbus A350
• The Quebec-Paris direct flight will return for a third season
• The Vancouver-Paris flight will become daily between July 1 and Sept. 1, 2024

In addition, KLM will offer a total of 39 flights per week from Canada, including:

• 2 daily flights from Toronto
• Daily flights from Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver
• 4 flights per week from Edmonton

In total, the Air France-KLM Group will offer a total of 98 flights per week from Canada in 2024, compared to 95 in 2023.

Long-haul 

Air France will be upping long-haul capacity by 9%, with flights to 85 destinations in total. Come this summer in North America, the airline will resume flights to Minneapolis (Minneapolis (Minnesota) with one daily flight, and inaugurate a new direct service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Phoenix (Arizona), 3x/week aboard a Boeing 787-9. It will also extend its direct service to Raleigh-Durham (North Carolina), upping the number of weekly flights to 7 (up from 3) during the winter season.

For the Cannes Film Festival, Air France will operate two special flights between Los Angeles (USA) and Nice (France) on Airbus A350-900s. 

This summer, the airline will fly to the United States over 210 times a week, serving a total of 17 destinations. It will also operate close to 60 flights to five Canadian cities.

In addition to growing its North American network, Air France’s major plans for summer 2024 also include:

• Extending the daily Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) service from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, which launched in winter 2023, through the summer of 2024
• Resuming the direct Dar Es Salam (Tanzania) service it inaugurated in summer 2023, with 3 weekly flights as a continuation of Zanzibar
• More flights to Japan, including 2 daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tokyo-Haneda, plus its service to Tokyo-Narita with 4 flights a week
• Increased frequencies on key African and Indian Ocean routes, including two daily flights to Cameroon (shared between Yaoundé and Douala); Cotonou (Benin) and Antananarivo (Madagascar) will also enjoy daily flights

Short - and medium - haul 

In addition to its usual flight schedule, Air France will operate 45 seasonal routes in France and Europe. Three new routes will be introduced on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, to: 

• Verona (Italy), up to 3x/week as of April 2
• Narvik-Lofoten (Norway), 1 flight every Saturday from June 15 to Aug. 31
• Kalamata (Greece), 1 flight every Saturday from July 6 to Aug. 31

Flights to Tromsø (Norway), until now available only in winter, will be extended through the summer, with up to 2 flights a week from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, on Airbus A319.

Meanwhile, Air France-KLM Group’s low-cost subsidiary, Transavia France, will fly to 116 destinations in 33 countries via 206 routes. Once again, it will be the top low-cost airline operating out of Paris’ airports.

New travel cabins 

Air France’s ongoing refurbishment of its 777-300ERs and Airbus A350-900s with the latest long-haul cabins will continue throughout the summer. This new product will be available in Business, Premium Economy and Economy models.

After New York-JFK, New York-Newark, Washington DC, Boston, Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok, Dakar, Tokyo-Haneda, Hong Kong, Seoul-Incheon, Shanghai and Johannesburg, these new cabins will be introduced this summer on flights to Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Papeete, Mexico and Tokyo-Narita.
