Hermitage Bay
New additions include a beach club, bar, and expanded guest activities

Antigua’s acclaimed Hermitage Bay resort is set to reopen its doors on Nov. 1 following a multi-million-dollar renovation.

Now under the ownership of international hotelier Daniel Shamoon of Luxury Hotel Partners, the resort now features 30 fully-redesigned guest villa suites, an increased number of private pools, a refreshed spa and newly landscaped gardens. There’s also a new beach club concept and bar as well as a host of activities for guests.

Highlights of the renovation include the following:

  • Redesigned villa suites: Each of the resort’s 30 villa suits have been refreshed to include brighter interiors and al-fresco living. The suites are either situated within the lush hillside or just steps from the beach. Each suite features a wraparound veranda, many including pools and outdoor showers. There are three suite categories: 9 Beachfront Villa Suites; 4 Garden Pool Villa Suites; and 17 Hillside Pool Villa Suites.
  • New culinary experiences: Hermitage Bay has enhanced its culinary offering with the addition of two new ambient concepts, along with an upgraded experience at its main restaurant. The new Beach Club grill restaurant offers seasonal, freshly-sourced local fare and craft cocktails in a laidback atmosphere, while the signature all-day Restaurant returns with a newly refresh design offering al fresco table seating on a wooden deck overlooking the beach.
  • New experiences: In addition to guided farm tours and weekly cooking classes, the resort has added an assortment of new water sports with the addition of two speed boats and an authentic 103-foot stay sail schooner. Guests will be able to enjoy boat trips around the island, venture on deep sea fishing trips and sunset cruises, or enjoy the day swimming and snorkelling in hidden island coves. A short helicopter or boat ride away is the secluded island of Barbuda where guests can enjoy lunch at sister resort Nobu Barbuda.
  • Refreshed Garden Spa: Situated within the tropical gardens, the Garden Spa offers signature treatments like the Siddhartha Ritual and the Dorissima Color Ritual, both of which incorporate aphrodisiac-infused products. The spa also provides a selection of facials. All services are available onsite and in the private of guest villa suites.

Hermitage Bay will begin welcoming guests for the 2024 season on November 1. All-inclusive rates start at $2,899/night. For reservations and more information go to hermitagebay.com.
