Azamara
Effective July 25, 2022

Azamara is dropping its pre-departure COVID-19 testing requirement for passengers, effective July 25, 2022.

Calling the move a “step in the right direction towards a return to normalcy for the travel and cruising industry,” Carol Cabezas, President of Azamara, says that “the cruise line remains committed to ensuring the health and safety of all passengers and crew.

Cruising is one of the safest ways to travel and our existing health and safety protocols onboard will ensure peace of mind for our guests and crew as we move forward,” she says.

The pre-cruise testing requirement remains in place for travellers embarking in a port where these protocols remain, in accordance with country regulations. In these cases, guests will still need to produce a negative COVID-19 test before sailing. A list of these ports can be found here.

In addition, Azamara is still requiring proof of vaccination prior to embarkation for all guests 12 years of age or older. Guests must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before sailing with all required COVID-19 vaccine doses. Azamara crew are also required to be fully vaccinated.

Although the pre-cruise testing requirement will be dropped, Azamara is still recommending that all guests departing from any port get tested at their leisure prior to travel. Their results, however, will not be required to actually board an Azamara vessel. COVID-19 testing will continue to be available to guests onboard as needed.
