July 20 - Costa Rica President Carlos Alvarado Quesada announced a new minister of tourism, Mr. Gustavo Segura, earlier this month.
The new minister assumed office on July 8 with three objectives to confront the crisis that Costa Rica faces amid the pandemic.
These three objectives are the gradual and safe reopening of international flights, tools to aid the tourism sector’s financial situation, and the implementation of new actions to aid economic recovery.
