News / Elvi Cal joins Snowbird Advisor as Randy Anger retires
In his new role, Cal will oversee partnerships with destination marketing organizations, tourist boards, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators and other travel suppliers looking to connect with Canada’s growing snowbird market

Snowbird Advisor has appointed longtime travel industry executive Elvi Cal as Director of Travel Partnerships in a consulting capacity.
In his new role, Cal will oversee partnerships with destination marketing organizations, tourist boards, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators and other travel suppliers looking to connect with Canada’s growing snowbird market.
“We are thrilled to have Elvi join the Snowbird Advisor team to oversee and grow our travel partnerships program,” said Stephen Fine, President and Founder of Snowbird Advisor. “His decades of experience and expertise working with DMOs, tourist boards and other travel providers will be a tremendous asset to our organization.”
Cal joins Snowbird Advisor after a 38-year career with TravelBrands and its related companies, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President, Product and Commercial. In that role, he led the company’s product and commercial teams while overseeing strategic partnerships with tourist boards and hotel partners.
The company also announced the upcoming retirement of Randy Anger, who has served as Director of Travel Partnerships.
“I would also like to express my gratitude to Randy Anger, our previous Director of Travel Partnerships at Snowbird Advisor, who is retiring in July,” said Fine. “Randy did a fantastic job of launching and growing our successful travel partnership program. We will be forever grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
According to Snowbird Advisor, Canada’s snowbird market now exceeds one million people and continues to grow, fuelled in part by younger travellers who are working remotely or transitioning into retirement. The company says many are also expanding their travel habits, venturing beyond traditional North American winter destinations or combining multiple destinations during extended stays abroad.
Snowbird Advisor has more than 100,000 members and provides information, resources and services for Canadians who spend part or all of the winter abroad. Its sister company, Snowbird Advisor Insurance, specializes in travel insurance for snowbirds, boomers and seniors.
