News / Eurostars Hotel Company strengthens its presence in the United States with the acquisition of the Eurostars The Chemists' Club Hotel 4*
The transaction brings back into the company's portfolio a property that was previously part of Eurostars Hotel Company from 2007 to 2016 and increases its U.S. portfolio to seven hotels

Eurostars Hotel Company, Grupo Hotusa's hotel division, continues to drive its international growth with the acquisition of Eurostars The Chemists' Club Hotel 4*, an exclusive boutique hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, just steps from Grand Central Terminal and within walking distance of Bryant Park and the New York Public Library, two of the city's most iconic landmarks.
The property, which was previously part of the company's portfolio from 2007 to 2016, now returns to Eurostars Hotel Company, bringing its U.S. portfolio to seven hotels—with locations in New York, Boston, Chicago, Miami and Washington, D.C.—and consolidating its growth in the country and across North America, just months after the opening of Eurostars Old Montreal 4*, the company's first property in Canada.
Housed in a historic 16-story Beaux-Arts building, Eurostars The Chemists' Club Hotel 4* combines the architectural heritage of New York with a contemporary interior design concept. Its 107 guest rooms feature a refined, understated aesthetic, where premium materials, clean lines and carefully designed lighting create spaces conceived for relaxation in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.
The hotel's main floor is home to the renowned Benjamin Steakhouse, which opened in 2006 and is considered one of Manhattan's leading steakhouses for its classic New York cuisine specializing in premium dry-aged cuts. Set in a space that preserves the building's original early-20th-century architecture, with soaring ceilings and an imposing fireplace more than 10 feet high, the restaurant rounds out an offering that brings together heritage, design and culinary excellence in a prime location.
According to Grupo Hotusa President Amancio López, "The United States continues to be one of the priority markets in our international growth strategy, and New York is one of the world's foremost economic, financial and tourism centers. The addition of this property strengthens our presence in a key market for the company and marks another step in our commitment to building a portfolio of distinctive hotels in leading international destinations."
"This is a hotel with exceptional architectural character, a prime location and a strong identity of its own—attributes that align perfectly with our vision of adding properties capable of delivering distinctive experiences and bringing significant heritage value to our portfolio," he added.
