Friesen Travel Group is planting new roots in Western Canada, snapping up two Winnipeg Expedia Cruises locations and pushing its storefront count past 20.

The move marks the company’s first expansion outside Ontario and the beginning of a broader Western Canada growth plan, with three additional Winnipeg locations planned over the next 36 months.

Friesen Travel Group is the largest multi-location franchise owner within the Expedia Cruises network, with all of its storefronts operating under the Expedia Cruises banner.

Friesen Travel Group says its Manitoba growth will also create new opportunities for people looking to build careers in travel.

The company currently has more than 650 consultants and provides training, professional development, booking technology, marketing support and access to global supplier relationships.
