News / Grenada set to welcome Air Canada flights starting August 10
The island continues its reopening process for international travellers
August.4 - Air Canada will head back to Grenada starting August 10, as the island continues its reopening process for international travellers.
Air Canada’s weekly scheduled flight will operate on Mondays, not on Rouge as before but as a main line flight. Outbound flights depart Pearson at 9 a.m., arriving at Maurice Bishop International Airport at 2:05 p.m. The return flight leaves Grenada at 3 p.m. and arrives in Toronto at 8:25 p.m.
Patricia Maher, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), says: “This is a huge step for Pure Grenada, as we continue to observe a measured approach to reopening the destination to international travellers, As one of our key source markets, we are pleased to know that we will be able to welcome back visitors from Canada.”
The GTA encourages all travellers to be mindful and ensure they adhere to the current advisories implemented to ensure their health and safety while visiting Grenada.
Initially scheduled to reopen July 1, Grenada took some extra time and reopened for regional visitors on July 15, and international visitors on August 1. Full details on required travel protocols and general destination information are at puregrenada.com
