The Iberostar Group has kicked off an ambitious plan to reopen its hotels in Cuba this winter season, in anticipation of a significant uptick in visitors.

Following last week’s news that Cuba will be easing entry requirements effective November 15, Grupo Iberostar will reopen Iberostar Grand Packard – its top luxury property in Cuba – along with the Iberostar Selection Bella Vista Varadero, Iberostar Selection Ensenachos, Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Ensenachos, and Iberostar Daiquiri, all on November 1.

Shortly after on December 1, Iberostar Bella Costa in Varadero and Iberostar Selection Holguin will reopen along with the Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Holguín.

These will be followed by the December 22 opening of Iberostar Playa Alameda and Iberostar Heritage Grand Trinidad, which will be ready to welcome guests who choose to celebrate Christmas in the Greater Antilles.

Iberostar Selection Playa Pilar in Cayo Guillermo, as well as Iberostar Parque Central, Iberostar Selection Varadero, Iberostar Laguna Azul and Iberostar Taínos are scheduled to open in January 2022.

The company’s reopening plans also include the inauguration of Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Esmeralda on December 22. Coral Levels are all-inclusive, luxury getaways that overlook the sea and include exclusive perks like a reserved area on the beach and rooms fitted with upscale conveniences. In addition, guests at these hotels can enjoy the facilities of the resort or hotel in which they are staying. The Iberostar Group currently has five Coral Level hotels in its global portfolio.

With the resumption of hotel operations in Cuba, Iberostar will be reactivating its Havana-Varadero and Havana-Los Cayos package tours, which allow guests to combine urban and beach experiences on the same trip. Plus, with Grupo Iberostar’s ‘How We Care’ program, which includes more than 300 health and safety measures, guests can vacation with peace of mind that their health and well-being are being prioritized.
