“We continued to face headwinds from international attendance at our domestic parks, but as expected, those headwinds moderated relative to the year-over-year impact observed in fiscal Q2”

The Walt Disney Company saw a 3% uptick in visitors to its U.S. parks, however international attendance continues to present challenges.

We continued to face headwinds from international attendance at our domestic parks, but as expected, those headwinds moderated relative to the year-over-year impact observed in fiscal Q2,” said CEO Josh D’Amaro, commenting on the recently released fiscal Q3 2026 results.

Global guests across the Experiences segment grew 4%. The company’s Experiences segment includes all of Disney’s theme parks worldwide, as well as Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney and more.

Walt Disney World in Florida had a stand-out quarter, with healthy core attendance increases from domestic tourists and annual passholders, and forward bookings at Walt Disney World remain robust, according to the company. Meanwhile Disneyland Paris saw strong attendance growth following the opening of World of Frozen.

New experiences coming to Disney Parks & Resorts include …

  • Walt Disney World: Villains themed area; Monsters Inc. area; Tropical Americas; Cars themed area
  • Disneyland Resort: Coco themed attractions; Avengers Campus expansion; Avatar experience
  • Disney Vacation Club: Disney Lakeshore Lodge
  • Hong Kong Disneyland: Marvel themed attractions
  • Shanghai Disney Resort: Spider-Man themed land
  • Disneyland Paris: Lion King themed area
  • Disney Abu Dhabi, first announced in May 2025

Disney Cruise Line Update

D’Amaro noted that fiscal Q3 was the first full quarter with the company’s two newest cruise ships, Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure.

Together, the two ships increased stateroom capacity by some 50% compared to the prior-year quarter. “We remain encouraged by current occupancy and forward bookings. We are looking forward to bringing additional cruise capacity online in the years ahead,” said the company.

Ships in the Disney Cruise Line pipeline include the previously-announced Disney Believe, the fourth ship in the cruise line’s Wish class, following in the wake of Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.

After the launch of Disney Believe in late 2027, Disney Cruise Line will debut its as-yet-unnamed 11th and 12th ships in 2029, and a 13th ship in 2030.
