Last Edited: September 2, 2019

The 250-room adults-only, all-inclusive Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas is reporting that its 340 in-house guests, including tourists and staff members, are safe.

How are guests and staff doing?

They are enjoying the comforts of the resort following the passage of Hurricane Dorian through The Bahamas. The resort is fully operational and incurred no damage as Paradise Island experienced just rain and wind with the Island being located south of the hurricane track.

Reaction from Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas

Quotes from: Benjamin Davis, General Manager of Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas

“First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with our fellow Bahamians who suffered loss as a result of Hurricane Dorian. We will be collecting items for the Bahamas Red Cross and bringing to their Nassau location to assist those communities impacted by the hurricane."

“As part of our hurricane protocols, we assembled a team of efficient associates and managers who remained at the resort and provided our 340 guests, who stayed on September 1, with a complete vacation experience with meals, snacks, beverages and entertainment despite the rainy and windy conditions outside."

“We are thankful to our guests for their cooperation and appreciation before and during the storm.”

How can they prepare for something like this?

“The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation and the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association provided excellent communication in advance of the storm as the destination prepared for the arrival of Hurricane Dorian as well as throughout the storm’s presence over our country,” noted Davis.

What if travel plans are affected?

Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas has a hurricane policy in place, which can be viewed on the website and details the procedures and options available for travelers whose stays are impacted by a hurricane.

Guests whose travel plans were impacted by Hurricane Dorian can contact the reservations team to reschedule their stay by calling 1-888-645-5550 or sending an email to res.wpib@warwickhotels.com.
