Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is opening a new Iberostar Holguin, the resort company’s first five-star hotel in the province of Holguin, is set for November 15, 2018. The chain is celebrating their 25th anniversary on the island.
The resort comprises of 12 low-rise buildings with 638 rooms, 6 restaurants, 9 bars and 4 swimming pools. They also offer Star Prestige services, an adults-only area with a wide range of premium amenities. Guests opting for the Star Prestige experience can relax on a sun terrace furnished with Bali beds, dine in an exclusive restaurant, and enjoy drinks in the open bar lounge.
An extensive range of day and evening activities await guests, plus dining options featuring international and local dishes with touches of African, Asian, and Spanish culinary traditions.
The resort sits on Playa Pesquero on the North Coast, with a succession of coves and bays dotted with cliffs covered in lush vegetation and fine white sandy beaches. One of the world’s largest coral reefs is just 15 km from the hotel. For day trips there’s La Mensura Nature Park, Sierra Cristal National Park and Guayabo Waterfall. There’s also the town of Banes, known as Cuba’s ‘capital of archaeology,’ Gibara and the city of Holguin itself.
