News / Kempinski, Gaviota is gearing up for its new 5-star luxury resort in Cuba
Five-star luxury resort coming to Cuba
Kempinski Hotels and Gaviota Tourism Group have signed a management contract for Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski. This marks the arrival of the first five-star luxury resort complex in Cuba.
The brand says it will enhance its presence on the Caribbean island and will further extend its footprint in the Americas with Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski. It is currently under construction and is scheduled to open during 2019.
Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski
The resort hotel is all-new, but it’s not all-inclusive. Billed as Cuba’s first non-all-inclusive resort hotel, Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski will be a luxury hideaway from the crowds. The design will be striking as well. Kempinski says the resort will be built like the bow of a boat advancing into the Atlantic Ocean.
Rooms and Suites
Surrounded by a breathtaking natural landscape and extensive gardens, it will have:• 245 rooms and suites
• 6 over-water villas (minimum 75 square metres)
• Over-water presidential suite (200 square metres with private pools)
The majority of the standard guest rooms will also boast unobstructed sea views and the white sand Playa Pilar beach will be directly adjacent to the resort.
