Can-Am days is once again welcoming Canadians back to ‘The Beach’ with up to 50% off select live entertainment, attractions, restaurants and more

Myrtle Beach’s hugely popular Can-Am Days is back, featuring exclusive savings at hotels, activities and attractions.

Taking place from March 9-17, 2024, Can-Am days – not in its 63rd year – is once again welcoming Canadians back to ‘The Beach’ with up to 50% off select live entertainment, attractions, restaurants and more. 

This year’s Welcome Reception kicks off on March 11 at the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center, followed by the Ontario Junio Players Invitation Golf Tournament on march 11-12. Other notable events include the Surfside BBQ Festival on March 9, the Ripley’s Can-Am Plaza Party on March 12 at Ripley’s Aquarium, the Run to the Sun Car Show on March 14-16 featuring over 30,000 vehicles, and Nights at Nance Spring Concert Series on March 14 in downtown Myrtle Beach, where guests can enjoy live country music, food trucks and a brewery.

An array of discounts and benefits are included in this year’s event, including up to 50% off at a wide range of accommodations like Beach Colony Resort The Caravelle Resort, Beach Cove Resort and Carolina Winds Resort, 50% off regular seating at The Carolina Opry, 30% off cruises with Barefoot Queen Riverboat, an exclusive Perks Book at The Market Common, and much more.

Complementing Can-Am Days is an entire calendar of events and festivals that puts Myrtle Beach top of mind among Canadian sun-seekers. The Myrtle Beach Classic (May 9-12), for example, will be the first PGA Tour event in Myrtle Beach history, and will be held at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club. Also not to be missed is the Carolina Country Music Festival, which completely sold out in 2023 and will be returning this year on June 6-9 with headliners Carrie Underwood and Morgan Wallen.

Notable new attractions and offerings include Tiger Woods-designed PopStroke at Broadway at the Beach, a family-friendly golf experience with a full-service restaurant and two putting golf courses opening this spring, as well as the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre, also opening in the spring with a lineup of performances by world-class singers and musicians. Also, Myrtle Waves Water Park will be adding a new ‘Wild Water Racer’ mat slide this year, and will be expanding its cabana and shaded seating area.

As for accommodation news, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront’s US$30 million renovation will see its north tower transformed into a tapestry Resort by Hilton this spring. Opening in April will be Holiday Inn Club Vacations Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort, a new 11-acre property on the Grand Strand featuring 152 one- to four-bedroom villas. Also new is The George Hotel in Georgetown’s history district, the town’s first boutique hotel and featuring 52 artfully-inspired guestrooms. And looking ahead to 2025, Compass Hotel North Myrtle Beach @ Margaritaville will open with 150 guestrooms, an indoor/outdoor pool experience, fitness centre, meeting space, a 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, Provisions Grab & Go and a complimentary breakfast buffet.
