Royal Caribbean has marked the first of many milestones for the seventh Oasis Class vacation in its fleet.

A steel-cutting ceremony was held at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. Representatives from Royal Caribbean and Chantiers de l’Atlantique attended the milestone event to commemorate the moment alongside the teams of innovators, naval engineers, architects, designers and more.

The cruise line notes that the ship is “officially on its way toward its bold introduction in 2028.”

Royal Caribbean also promises that more details about the seventh Oasis Class vacation, including its name, will be shared at a later date.

Meanwhile the countdown is on for Legend of the Seas. For its inaugural season in summer 2026, Legend of the Seas will sail seven-night Western Med itineraries from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia). Destinations include Provence (Marseille), Naples, and Palma de Mallorca. Then in November 2026, Legend of the Seas will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, offering six-night Western Caribbean and eight-night Southern Caribbean sailings. Ports of call will include Aruba, Curacao, and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
