Why Orange County?
Orange County is a blend of numerous small cities, each with its own history, culture, and identity. Unlike cities such as New York City and Chicago in the U.S., Orange County does not have a true downtown. OCVIBE's primary objective is to redefine the downtown experience and establish a central hub for the destination. Annually, 1.4 billion visitors come to Orange County. The county is highly connected, making it easily accessible for both domestic and international visitors.
Where did the idea come from?
OCVIBE has been established and funded by Henry and Susan Samueli, who are not only successful businessmen and philanthropists but also long-time residents of Orange County. Their deep-rooted connection to the community and commitment to making a positive impact have been instrumental in the creation and support of OCVIBE.
What’s included in OCVIBE
OCVIBE is set to transform 100 acres into a vibrant and sustainable hub, showcasing a range of eco-friendly initiatives. From live concerts and exclusive shows to versatile spaces for private events, OCVIBE is set to become the premier entertainment district in the heart of OC.
Sports enthusiasts can look forward to more than just catching the Ducks at Honda Center. Pre-game bites, fan interactions, and themed events will elevate the game day experience, making OCVIBE the ultimate destination for sports aficionados.
Dining at OCVIBE promises a culinary adventure like no other, with over 28 new restaurants, 6 bars, and a bustling market hall featuring local artisans. Regional and global cuisine will come to life in a completely unique dining experience.
The expansive green spaces at OCVIBE, including 20 acres of open green space and two 4-acre parks, provide plenty of room for community gatherings and special events, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment for all.
In addition to its entertainment offerings, OCVIBE will feature modern office spaces spanning between 200K and 500K sq ft, catering to Orange County's most innovative employers and creating a dynamic working campus.
Conveniently located near the ARTIC transit center and offering free parking, OCVIBE ensures easy access for visitors and residents alike, making transportation a breeze.
Events at OCVIBE are taken to the next level, with tailored spaces and meticulous attention to detail for business conferences or milestone celebrations, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
Hospitality is a key focus at OCVIBE, with plans to open two hotels boasting a total of 520 rooms. Additionally, the project includes 2,000 rental residential units, with 15% earmarked for underserved communities, further enhancing the inclusivity and diversity of the development.
