A leading hotel group from Portugal, Vila Galé, recently brought together travel agents and media professionals in Toronto to introduce its brand to Canadians and reveal plans for expanding in Cuba. 

Established in Portugal in 1986, Vila Galé now operates 52 hotels across Portugal, Brazil, Spain, and Cuba, offering accommodations ranging from 4 to 5 stars. Known for its deep ties to Portuguese culture, diverse hotel options, family-friendly atmosphere, and commitment to responsible tourism, the Vila Galé brand has gained recognition in the industry.

One special aspect of Vila Galé is the Vila Galé Collection, a premium sub-brand that showcases the most prestigious properties. These locations are carefully crafted to provide guests with a more upscale, luxurious, and distinctive stay, such as converted castles, royal hunting lodges, or convents.

Another fascinating detail is that Vila Galé owns Vinery Estates, located on the hotel properties, as well as its own spa brand known as Satsanga Spa & Wellness.

Now, back to the major announcement made by the hotel’s team. Vila Galé reveals its acquisition of 3 Sirenis Hotels & Resorts properties located in Havana, Varadero, and Cayo Santa Maria. This expansion will bring the total number of Vila Galé properties in Cuba to 4, with the first property opened in October 2023, Vila Galé Cayo Paredon. 

Vila Galé’s latest move marks a notable step in its expansion efforts within the Cuban hospitality market.
