Visit Portugal
This fall, Visit Portugal is connecting with travel advisors at trade shows and industry events across Canada

Visit Portugal is focused on both Canadian trade engagement and consumer engagement ahead of the winter and spring travel seasons, with communications support, advisor initiatives and industry events in Portugal.

The announcement follows news earlier this week that Visit Portugal appointed VoX as its public relations agency of record in Canada.

Under the direction of Inês Almeida Garrett, Country Director for Canada at Visit Portugal, VoX will lead public relations and media outreach.

Meanwhile, Global Marketing & Sales (GMS) continues to oversee travel trade representation, working with advisors, tour operators, airlines and industry associations.

“Our travel trade partners are central to Portugal’s success in Canada. Their expertise, enthusiasm and continued support help turn interest in our destination into travel,” said Inês Almeida Garrett, Country Director for Canada, Visit Portugal. “With GMS continuing to strengthen our trade relationships and VOX bringing dedicated public relations support, we are expanding our capacity to inspire Canadian travellers and support the partners who bring them to Portugal.”

This fall, Visit Portugal is connecting with travel advisors at trade shows and industry events across Canada, sharing destination news, product updates and collaboration opportunities. Its ongoing programme also includes webinars, in-person training, sales calls and familiarization trips.

Visit Portugal is also partnering with industry organizations on several events in Portugal before year-end to strengthen commercial relationships and deepen destination knowledge.

In October, the Air Canada & United Airlines Race 2026 will take place in Porto and the North of Portugal, giving participating travel professionals firsthand exposure to the region.

In November, Travel Trade Marketplace Canada will bring 40 tour operators and key travel partners to Alentejo to meet tourism companies representing Portugal’s seven regions and broaden their product offerings. The CATO Out-of-Country Symposium will also take place in November, in the Azores, offering another opportunity to connect with Canadian tour operators and showcase the islands.
