A new season means more exciting adventures are coming to Kissimmee and Central Florida. Kissimmee is ready to welcome returning and first-time visitors to the destination, giving families experiences that could never be forgotten. From exciting events to new attractions, here’s what visitors can expect in Kissimmee come Spring.

Safety

Vacations continue to require planning and preparation. With that in mind, Experience Kissimmee partnered with major healthcare system AdventHealth to provide a Safety Hub for all visitors. This planning tool allows visitors to explore resources and stay up-to-date with safety information before traveling.

Attractions

Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World Resort continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary, an 18-month event bringing new attractions, nighttime spectaculars, and other magical experiences. One of the most highly anticipated new experiences recently opened; Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is an immersive two-night themed experience that allows guests climb onboard a spaceship for a futuristic cruise ship-style experience.

EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival begins this month and runs until July. Discover a springtime event with stunning gardens, creative cuisine featuring the season’s freshest flavours and lively entertainment.

Peppa Pig Theme Park

A new and groundbreaking theme park has opened its doors just steps away from LEGOLAND Florida. The World’s First Peppa Pig Theme Park is finally open and is designed to be the ultimate day for little ones. The new theme park combines interactive rides and themed playgrounds with character shows and an indoor cinema for quieter moments. It has also opened as a Certified Autism Center and offers accessible rides for visitors in wheelchairs.

Wild Florida Airboat, Gator Park & Drive-thru Safari

Visitors can expect to see two rhinoceroses at the Drive-Thru Safari Park by spring. Wild Florida is also adding special celebrations for its visitors to highlight Gator Week from May 23-28, 2022.

The Sunset Walk SlingShot™

Calling all thrill seekers! The Sunset Walk SlingShot™ is now open and ready to give guests the ride of a lifetime. Located at the Promenade at Sunset Walk Orlando, the Sunset Walk SlingShot™ stands at 240 feet tall and launches two riders up to 400 feet in the air, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph in under two seconds.

Hard Rock Café Orlando

The Hard Rock Cafe has announced the global launch of its brand-new menu item – the Messi Burger – as the latest innovation in Hard Rock International’s “LIVE GREATNESS" campaign in partnership with global soccer legend Lionel Messi. This culinary delight, crafted by Messi himself, is now available for fans to order at Hard Rock Cafe locations worldwide.

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal’s Mardi Gras returns to Universal Orlando Resort in 2022 and will run until April 24th. The good times roll with 10 of the biggest names in music set to take centre stage for exciting live concerts throughout March – including global superstar Khalid. Guests can also enjoy a nighttime parade, authentic Cajun-style cuisine from New Orleans and additional dishes inspired by diverse tastes and flavours from around the world at locations throughout the park.

Osceola Arts

Osceola Arts is excited to kick off Spring with a performance of The Bridges of Madison County, running until March 27th. This musical is based on the 1992 best-selling novel of the same name by Robert James Waller. The mission of Osceola Arts is to promote, cultivate and foster interest and participation in the arts by providing affordable and accessible programs and facilities that encourage artistic expression in the diverse community they serve.
