ACTA’s extensive advocacy with the Quebec provincial government has finally paid off with the announcement this week that Quebec will waive the OPC permit from February 2022 until February 2023.

ACTA has been calling for this extension to provide much-needed relief for travel agencies. Without assistance, many travel agencies will not survive the many government restrictions that still remain on travel. Even with sales starting to come in, it will be a long time before travel agencies see revenue and begin to fully recover.

For many months now, ACTA has been asking that the Quebec government to extend financial relief and waive all OPC fees.
