News / Air Canada extends suspension of Israel and Dubai flights, Emirates updates operations plan
“Due to the military situation in the Middle East, we have cancelled flights from Canada to Israel and Dubai until March 22, with service to resume March 23,” said Air Canada in an X post

Air Canada has extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai, in light of ongoing tensions in the Gulf region and the Middle East.
“Due to the military situation in the Middle East, we have cancelled flights from Canada to Israel and Dubai until March 22, with service to resume March 23,” said Air Canada in an X post.
“If you are in either of these regions, please do not head to the airport. Your safety is our top priority,” the airline added.
As reported this past Sunday, Air Canada had earlier suspended service from Canada to Israel until March 8, and to Dubai until March 3.
Air Canada’s flexible rebooking policy includes, in addition to Dubai and Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Amman, Erbil and Dammam. The policy applies to passengers who purchased an Air Canada ticket no later than Feb. 28, 2026, for travel to, from or through DXB, AUH, TLV, BEY, AMM, EBL and DMM between now and March 15, 2026. More details can be found here.
In its latest post, Air Canada said it is monitoring the situation and will adjust its schedule accordingly.
Emirates Update
Airspace closures remain in place, and that means hundreds of thousands of global travellers are still stranded.
According to the latest update from Emirates, all scheduled Emirates flights to and from Dubai remain suspended until at least 11:59 p.m. UAE time on March 4.
“Emirates continues to operate a limited number of passenger repatriation and freighter flights on 3 and 4 March,” said the airline in an X post earlier this morning. “We are accommodating customers with earlier bookings as a priority on these limited flights. Please do not go to the airport unless you have been notified directly by Emirates or hold a confirmed booking for these flights.”
Emirates said it continues to monitor the situation and will develop its operational schedule accordingly. The latest flight updates can be found on Emirates’ site.
