July 30 marks TravelBrands’ annual SickKids Day in support of SickKids Foundation.

The company says it’s once again turning a day of travel bookings into collective impact, with TravelBrands donating 1% of all of July 30th sales to the foundation.

This year, every dollar raised will go twice as far thanks to a corporate match that will see donations doubled.

SickKids Day is entering its 11 year and has grown beyond a fundraising initiative into a shared tradition that brings together travel advisors, partners, employees and travellers across the industry, said Nathalie Tanious, President & CEO of H.I.S. Canada Travel Inc., parent company of TravelBrands.

“The extraordinary work happening at SickKids every day changes lives, from the care children receive to the research and innovation shaping what is possible for generations to come,” said Tanious. “That is why this initiative continues to mean so much to all of us. For more than a decade, our travel community has come together around this cause, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved and the difference we can continue to make together.”

More than $3 million has been raised in support of SickKids, helping contribute to its vision of ‘Healthier Children. A Better World,’ since the partnership began. Every donation helps advance SickKids’ work in paediatric care, research and innovation.
