News / The Caledonian Sleeper is redefining train travel from London to Edinburgh
Journey of a night time
Written by: Serean Bechara
On October 28 we had the pleasure of attending a lovely Caledonian Sleeper event with attendees from Air Canada, Visit Britain, Visit Scotland, Tourism Ireland, Connection Tours and various tour operators for a night of great food, conversation and a special look at their night train.
Caledonian Sleeper
The Caledonian Sleeper connects the UK’s capital city, London, directly to some of Scotland’s most popular and beautiful destinations. The Caledonian Sleeper trains run six nights a week in both directions, reaching 48 stations with 43 being in Scotland.
“Our new fleet of trains, which have been five years in the making, have been entirely designed with all of our guests in mind and they will take the timeless experience we offer to a whole new level. For the first time, we will have en suite rooms, giving our guests the option to have their own private facilities and enjoy a hot shower in the morning.”
- Ryan Flaherty, Managing Director, Caledonian Sleeper
Ryan Flaherty, along with the Caledonian Sleeper team, have all worked hard to do everything they can to ensure that travellers get a good night’s sleep. This includes providing eye masks, ear plugs and ensuring a quiet and smooth ride so that you’re good to go for any morning tour the next day.
The Caledonian Sleeper is used primarily for business travel, those who live in Edinburgh or London who frequently travel and affluent travellers. Many clients choose the Caledonian Sleeper for its “wow” factor, instagrammable appeal and of course, bragging rights!
It is a truly bespoke and flexible experience with many travellers choosing the train to get to their destination for the experience and then flying back for the convenience.
This train is also a great option for groups and transporting guests to weddings and other events. They have the option to rent out several cars, if not the whole train for their special occasion!
So, what makes the Caledonian Sleeper one-of-a-kind?
It is immensely convenient as it travels between the centre of London and the heart of 43 Scottish destinations, from major city centres to the most rural of locations.Travellers can forget the hassle of airport queues with this relaxed way of travel! Their incredibly dedicated staff are here for your client’s every need. The Caledonian Sleeper has a guest experience team that is there for travellers at every part of their journey.
• Guest Ambassadors - based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, are available by phone or email for pre and post trip queries
