Contiki
Among the highlights is the brand’s first-ever trip to Borneo!

Contiki has unveiled four exciting new trips to some of Asia’s most in-demand destinations: the Philippines, China, India, and the Malaysian island of Borneo.

Among the highlights is the brand’s first-ever trip to Borneo. The Borneo Adventure is a nine-day journey through the Malaysian part of the island, known for its unique wildlife and lush rainforests. Travellers will have the opportunity to spot orangutans, pygmy elephants, sun bears, and proboscis monkeys, all of which are native to the region. The trip includes visits to Bako National Park, a day on Selingan Turtle Island to witness the rare spectacle of turtles laying their eggs, and a river cruise along the Kinabatangan River for more wildlife sightings.

Contiki’s CEO, Adam Armstrong, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for expanding in Asia: “We’ve been focused on increasing our range of trips in Asia for a couple of years now. Given the financial pressures many young travellers are facing, we’ve worked hard to keep these trips affordable, and our upcoming Cyber Sale will make booking even more accessible.

Also available is the Philippines Island Hopping East trip, already proving incredibly popular, with bookings surpassing expectations since its launch earlier this year. Contiki has responded by adding a new itinerary, which takes travellers to four more stunning islands in the eastern Philippines. For those wanting to explore both the eastern and western parts of the archipelago, the 22-day Ultimate Philippines Island Hopping trip offers the complete experience. Highlights include swimming with dolphins in Cebu, snorkelling during the rare sardine run, and enjoying an authentic eight-course Filipino meal in Bohol, along with boat transfers between the islands.

In response to increasing demand for immersive cultural experiences, Contiki has also reintroduced its China Adventure, a 12-day guided tour of China’s most iconic landmarks. Travellers will visit Beijing’s famed sites with a local guide, including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, explore the ancient terracotta warriors in Xi’An, and even spend time at a panda sanctuary. The tour also features the chance to sample some of China’s best street food.

For those eager to tick off some of India’s top destinations in just over a week, Eternal India Express provides a fast-paced but comprehensive tour of the country’s cultural highlights. This budget-friendly trip includes visits to Delhi, Agra (home to the Taj Mahal), Udaipur, Jaipur and Ranthambore National Park, where travellers can embark on a thrilling tiger safari. A tuk-tuk ride through Old Delhi’s bustling streets rounds out the adventure.

Taryn Welsh, Contiki’s Director of Operations for Asia & Australia, expressed her excitement about the new offerings: “Borneo is a hidden gem, home to 6% of the world’s biodiversity. We’re thrilled to offer an eco-conscious, wildlife-focused trip that takes full advantage of this incredible natural beauty. We’re also very pleased to expand our Philippines offerings and provide even more choices for travellers seeking unforgettable island adventures.

Welsh added: “We know India and China can seem overwhelming for first-time visitors, which is why we’ve designed these trips with expert Local Guides and Contiki Trip Managers to ensure a seamless experience.
