Big Game Trolling Tournament in Cayo Guillermo, Cuba

The Jardines del Rey Big Game Trolling Tournament will take place in Cayo Guillermo, Cuba, from October 25th to 30th, 2023. The fishing area will be up to 5 miles to the North - Northeast between Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo, which is a rich fishing area in the Old Channel of the Bahamas where a wide range of species abound, among them are: Peralgic and billfishes such as the Fantail, Casteros, White Marlin, Wahoo, and Dorados.

The date chosen (October 25 - 30) is the result of a previous analysis of the behavior of the tides and the moon.

This is a great opportunity to showcase this paradisiacal place, surrounded by virgin keys where Canadians can enjoy memorable experiences and take part in several water-based options like fishing and diving”, says Lessner Gomez, Director of the Cuba Tourist Board in Toronto.

The Marina Marlin Jardines del Rey, has specialized crews with more than 20 years of experience in the area, aboard of yachts between 33 and 42 feet equipped with up to four simultaneous rods, and lines of up to 60 pounds, suitable to catch species included in the event. 

Registration Fee is $400 USD per team of 1 to 4 anglers and the price for the boat rental is $2000 USD for the entire tournament (3 full days and 1 half day) and it includes: crew, fishing license, fishing gear and light snacks and drinks.
