News / Federal govt. reinstates Orange (Level 3) advisories for Jordan & the UAE
Jordan was initially hit with an Orange (Level 3) warning, with Canadians told to avoid all non-essential travel to Jordan, back in early March in the first days of the U.S. and Israel’s war against Iran

After an all-too-brief reprieve, the Canadian government has reinstated its Orange (Level 3) travel advisory for Jordan and the UAE.
Jordan was initially hit with an Orange (Level 3) warning, with Canadians told to avoid all non-essential travel to Jordan, back in early March in the first days of the U.S. and Israel’s war against Iran.
The UAE also received an Orange level warning when the war broke out, later escalated to Red (Level 4).
As tensions eased in late June, the Canadian government de-escalated its travel advice for both destinations.
Just days later G Adventures announced it would resume operations in Jordan starting in August following a three-month pause. Exodus Adventure Travels also restarted departures.
The reinstated Orange (Level 3) advisories for Jordan and the UAE, warning Canadians to avoid non-essential travel, notes that “the security situation remains volatile following recent military activity in the region.”
