Association of Canadian Travel Agencies
ACTA has entered the next step of extensive lobbying

September 28 - ACTA welcomed the government’s extension of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) as committed in the Speech from the Throne on September 23, 2020, a critical program they have long been advocating on behalf of Canadian Travel Agencies.

The Government also included a pledge to further support industries that have been the most impacted by the pandemic, including travel and tourism.

However, ACTA’s advocacy efforts do not stop here. In fact, they have just entered the next step of extensive lobbying to ensure that Travel Agents are part of all types of financial aid support for as long as possible.

ACTA knows that Travel Agencies are resilient and will thrive in time, however we need the government to bridge support to get us through these difficult times.

ACTA will have more information on the next phase of our Advocacy Campaign imminently. Stay tuned!
