Marlin Travel is rolling out a national social media campaign designed to underscore the value of travel advisors and reinforce the importance of personalized service in today’s travel landscape.

As the franchise agency brand within Transat Distribution Canada (TDC), Marlin Travel has partnered with content creator Simona Stallone (@theotherstallone) for the initiative, marking the first time the agency has collaborated with an influencer.

Rather than spotlighting a specific destination — a common approach in social media travel campaigns — the focus is squarely on the expertise and added value that travel advisors bring to the planning process. The campaign aims to highlight the attentiveness, professionalism and in-depth knowledge of Marlin Travel advisors, positioning them as essential partners in crafting customized travel experiences.

As part of the concept, Stallone will work with a Marlin Travel advisor to design a trip tailored just for her. In a twist intended to add an element of surprise and entertainment, she will not learn her destination until she arrives at the airport on the day of departure.

The campaign officially launches Feb. 27 across Stallone’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok. Initial posts introduce the collaboration and document her decision to work with a travel expert, as she outlines her expectations and travel preferences.

The destination reveal is scheduled for March 6 at the airport, marking the start of a journey that will be shared live and in real time across her platforms. Beginning March 20, Stallone will deliver what the brand describes as her “final verdict,” reconnecting with her travel advisor to debunk common travel myths in a light-hearted and humorous conversation.

The campaign targets audiences across English Canada, with a strong presence on Facebook and Instagram intended to maximize reach and engagement.

Transat Distribution Canada has already tested a similar approach in the Quebec market. In January and early February, its Club Voyages brand partnered with media personality Anaïs Favron on a comparable campaign aimed at French-speaking consumers. That initiative also focused on demonstrating the added value of working with a travel advisor while strengthening brand awareness.
