Place III Hotels has announced the grand opening of its first luxury hotel, The BoTree. Opened Friday September 15, 2023, the hotel comprises 199 rooms including 30 suites as well as a destination restaurant and bar, delivering a vibrant experience for all who come through its doors. One of the most anticipated launches of 2023, The BoTree captures the spirit of Marylebone's 'village' life. It reflects the allure of central London with its enchanting spaces and personalized service, while establishing Place III Hotels' own form of luxury, Conscious Luxury.

This new purpose-driven approach is at the root of everything that The BoTree does and throughout the hotel, mindful choices have been made. These choices include partnerships with like-minded brands that are a catalyst for positive change, such as Jo Loves, The BoTree's official bathroom amenity partner. Jo Loves products are vegan, natural, sulphate-, paraben-, and cruelty-free, as well as packaged using OceanBound Plastic.

Having achieved an Excellent rating in the world's foremost environmental assessment method and rating system for buildings (BREEAM), The BoTree is committed to reducing its resource and carbon footprints year on year, embracing digital options and new technology wherever possible. As the hotel starts its journey with Conscious Luxury, the commitment isn't to arbitrary targets or hollow promises, the commitment is to do what the team believes is the right thing.

Stays Bursting with Life

The BoTree encompasses the energy, character and atmosphere of Marylebone life, welcoming all to enjoy the hotel's variety of offerings and settings through day and night. Exemplifying word-class living, guest rooms are adorned with colorful natural fabrics and eclectic textures created exclusively for the hotel. The 30 contemporary suites serve as a destination in their own right, providing the perfect entertaining space with a lounge, balcony, personal bar, and integrated cocktail station. The largest of the suites, The BoTree Suite, will offer commanding views across central London. Featuring its own guest entrance and an outdoor terrace, this exclusive space can be combined with the adjoining suites to create a large wing for the ultimate private retreat.

The hotel's intuitive personalized service will be the cornerstone of its character. Welcoming floor hosts will be on hand to fulfil guests' needs as they indulge in a stay, providing a 24-7 service for all rooms.

Architecture and Design

The previous site has been transformed to create this new luxury hotel. The design and materiality of The BoTree respects the existing architectural character of Marylebone Lane and Welbeck Street with active frontage and public realm enhancements.

The hotel's interiors feature bold colors complemented by natural materials and illuminated with delicate lighting to create cozy spaces that radiate elegance and invite social connection. Upon entry, guests are welcomed into an alluring space graced with flower arrangements and luscious plants inspired by the vibrance of Marylebone Lane. A contemporary conservatory, the lobby creates a warm environment where guests can dwell and mingle.

Akin to Marylebone residences, the guest rooms at The BoTree have been carefully designed to cater to a variety of different lifestyles and requirements, while caring for the planet with considered, innovative touches. Rooms welcome guests with a reception space, separate WC, followed by discrete sliding panels for extra privacy, which open out to the bedroom, bathroom, and lounge area. Each features luxurious furnishings, featuring Jasper Conran Wedgewood tea sets, vegan leather headboards and eucalyptus Tencel bedding, all of which have been chosen for their eco-friendly credentials.

Neighborhood

With Bond Street tube station on its doorstep, The BoTree connects Marylebone, Mayfair and Soho, serving as the perfect base to discover the city's iconic sights and unmissable events. Offering a true sense of belonging, travelers will not need to go far to enjoy London's independent cafés, bookshops and boutiques from this stylish haven. Nearby Marylebone, a fashionable village-like neighborhood, is known for its elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture, world-class dining and premier entertainment. In Mayfair, guests will find major international galleries and auction houses, flagship designer stores on the famous Bond Street, private clubs, Michelin star restaurants and more. From a stroll in Regent's Park to taking in a concert at Wigmore Hall or an art exhibition at The Wallace Collection, the area boasts plenty of opportunities for explorers to get a true taste of London's best.

A Distinct Dining Experience

Tao Group Hospitality will oversee all of the dining and bars in the hotel, including LAVO, The BoTree's signature restaurant, serving sophisticated Italian cuisine with coastal flair. LAVO perfected its style and earned a loyal following in Los Angeles, as well as other sites across the US and Singapore. Making its UK debut at The BoTree, the restaurant is set to delight guests at its new location with its fresh pasta made in-house; whole grain pizzas, fish and more. The menu, created by the group's Chief Culinary Officer Ralph Scamardella, will be executed by Culinary Director Stefano Lorenzini. Standout dishes include fresh homemade pasta such as Tagliatelle al Limone infused with marjoram, sweet butter and Kaluga caviar, whole grain, single-source flour pizzas, a showstopper Wagyu meatball topped with whipped ricotta, a delicate Salt-baked Mediterranean sea bass and an indulgent 20-Layer Chocolate Cake.

The cocktail program features dramatic iterations of classics and bold signature drinks, such as the LAVO Negroni, which allows guests to put their own twist on an iconic tipple alongside a curated wine offering, completing the dining experience.

The hotel's neighborhood bar, The BoTree Bar provides a vibrant space illuminated by a light feature that expands across the ceiling. Guests can indulge in an extensive drinks offering and sit at the teal-marble bar, which curves across the space, and admire the golden walls laden with bottles. The bar menu, curated by Chef Stefano, features luxurious dishes such as the Oyster on the half shell with limoncello mignonette, the Caviar sandwich with egg salad, caviar, and homemade chips, and the Truffle grilled cheese with hot honey.

An Experienced Team

The new leadership team brings a wealth of five-star experience in London hotel openings and is reflective of the hotel's commitment to guest-centered service. Founder of Place III Hotels, Rishi Sachdev heads up the team, which includes Eva Mount, who was formerly General Manager at The Guardsman and spent over 10 years with Firmdale Hotels, serving as General Manager; Ben Bateman, formerly General Manager at Locke Hotels as Hotel Manager; Simone Caretti, formerly Head Concierge at W London, as Head Concierge; and Culinary Director, Stefano Lorenzini. Chef Stefano has over 24 years of experience in the culinary world, working at venues such as Santini, Cecconi's Mayfair, Shoreditch House, and ME London Hotel before joining Tao Group Hospitality in New York.
