The French Caribbean certainly knows how to make Summer sizzle

Martinique's Summer 2026 is shaping up to be truly unforgettable — and we've got noteworthy news and exciting events from the "Island of Flowers" for you. The best part? Some of it is coming directly to Martinique's shores.

Chez Victor Plates Up in Fort-de-France

This trendy spot in Fort-de-France’s downtown is taking Instagram by storm. This beautiful, jazzy bistro, open for less than a year, has been pleasing palates with its sophisticated, authentic take on French-Creole cuisine. A must try!

Lights, Camera, Action on “Mixed Bloods”

Filming is officially underway for “Sangs mêlés,” a four-episode miniseries blending police investigation, family secrets, gastronomy, and psychological tension. Directed by François Guérin, the series is expected to air next year on France Télévisions, the French National Broadcaster.

The Martinique Gourmande Festival Returns

At the tail end of Summer, the Martinique Gourmande festival will return to Quebec from September 8 to 19, 2026, for its 19th edition. Four visiting Chefs from Marintnique will be participating in the festival this year. Bold tropical flavours and creative cocktails await at participating restaurants all across the province, as does the much-loved Creole Market.
