News / Sunwing brings back St. Maarten and Bonaire
Both resorts have been completely renovated post-Irma
Sunwing’s winter season in St. Maarten will kick off February 28, 2019, with weekly direct flights from both Toronto and Montreal. As reported in May 2018 both resorts have been completely renovated post-Irma.
The all-suite adults-only Sonesta Ocean Point Resort is slated to reopen on November 15, 2018. Along with a revamped lobby area, the property will now also benefit from a new rooftop tapas restaurant, Casa Blue. There are three exclusive pools, including the Edge pool with a zero entry cliffside beach along with an open-air wellness area and private cabanas.
Sunwing says vacationers can also access the facilities and services of Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa next door once it reopens on February 1, 2019. Located beachfront on the island’s southwestern shore and within walking distance of shops and nightlife, Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa is the largest all-inclusive resort in St Maarten. Sunwing is also returning to Bonaire after a successful inaugural season, with weekly Sunday flights out of Toronto starting December 16 and running until April 14.
