St. John’s, Newfoundland has welcomed its first-ever ultra-low-cost flight, courtesy of Swoop.

The airline launched its inaugural flight from Hamilton’s John C. Munro International Airport (YHM) to St. John’s International Airport (YYT) on June 3, reinforcing its commitment to travel and tourism in Atlantic Canada and across Canada.

Introductory fares from St. John’s to Hamilton start at $99. Service runs daily.

The inaugural service comes on the heels of additional flights to and from all four Atlantic Canadian provinces. Earlier this summer, Swoop introduced nonstop connectivity between Deer Lake and Hamilton, and later this month will also add nonstop service from Deer Lake to Toronto.
