International visitors travelling to Thailand will no longer need to register for a ‘Thailand Pass’ or purchase health insurance, starting July 1, 2022.

According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has approved the lifting of both requirements, making it easier for travellers to visit.

From July 1, 2022, international visitors are only required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel in print or digital format. Random checks will be made upon all international travellers’ arrivals at Thailand’s international airports and land border checkpoints in 22 provinces. Unvaccinated visitors and those not fully vaccinated who are unable to show proof of a pre-arrival negative test will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at their point of entry.

Bangkok, along with 76 other provinces, have been approved by the CCSA as green zones, thus allowing businesses to resume new normal businesses and activities nationwide.
