The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is now accepting applications for four positions on its Industry Advisory Council (IAC), a group that provides input and strategic advice to TICO’s Board of Directors and senior management.

The IAC works alongside TICO’s Consumer Advisory Council (CAC), which gathers feedback directly from consumers and industry members. Together, both councils support TICO’s consumer protection mandate – an essential part of Ontario’s regulated travel sector.

TICO is seeking individuals who represent a broad range of registrant business models that reflect difference products, delivery channels and consumer groups from across the province.

In addition to a strong alignment with TICO’s consumer protection goals, Tico is looking for applicants who:

• Are collaborative and can actively engage in discussions
• Understand and embrace TICO’s consumer protection mandate
• Are considered by peers as independent thinkers recognized for consensus building with strong strategic, risk management, communications and teamwork skills
• Represent the diversity of Ontario, willing to consider a broad range of perspectives
• Have unquestionable integrity, credibility and high ethical standards

The IAC meets up to four times annually, ideally in person. A standard per diem will be paid to members for attending meetings.
