Virgin Voyages is setting sail into a new era of excitement with fresh Caribbean itineraries, updated menus and brand-new entertainment offerings.
As the award-winning cruise line celebrates its connection to Valentine’s Day – marking the anniversary of Scarlet Lady’s delivery and the opening of its Miami-based Terminal V – it’s offering travellers five new reasons to fall in love with Virgin Voyages all over again.
Solo and Group Travel Perks
Solo travel is on the rise, particularly among women, and Virgin Voyages caters to independent explorers with solo cabin options and exclusive Solo Sailor Meet-Ups. At the same time, the brand is also a top choice for group getaways, whether for milestone birthdays, family reunions or bachelorette parties. Groups of eight or more receive a 10% discount, up to $300 in free drinks and a dedicated group dinner at one of the line’s six Michelin-inspired restaurants. In the coming months, Virgin Voyages will also enhance group welcome amenities, including fresh flowers, Champagne or prosecco, chocolates, and beer buckets to toast the journey ahead.
New Culinary Delights
Virgin Voyages’ dining scene is getting a refresh, with Extra Virgin and Gunbae unveiling new menu items in 2025. Extra Virgin, the ship’s Italian trattoria, will introduce new pastas, arancini, seafood risotto and roasted monkfish starting in May. Meanwhile, Gunbae, the only Korean BBQ experience at sea, will debut additions such as shrimp kimbap rolls, bulgogi fire meat and bo ssam (whole roasted pork butt with oysters and caviar) in July. More culinary updates for Brilliant Lady’s inaugural season will be announced soon.
Exciting New Entertainment
Following Scarlet Lady’s recent enhancements – including new suites, VIP poolside cabanas, and an eye-catching mermaid design – the ship now features two new productions. Guests can immerse themselves in a nostalgic Y2K-themed interactive party or rock out at “It’s a Rock Show-ke,” an electrifying concert experience featuring 80s and 90s classics.
Brilliant Lady, the fourth and final ship in the Virgin fleet, debuts this September with an all-new entertainment lineup, including a production inspired by Virgin Records’ extensive musical history. Additional show announcements for the ship’s North American season are expected in March.
Comedy Cruises Make a Comeback
Virgin Voyages is doubling down on laughs, following the success of its UK-based Comedy Fest. The event returns this August on a six-night cruise from Portsmouth, headlined by renowned comedian Jack Whitehall. In addition, a new U.S.-based Comedy Fest launches in 2025, sailing from Miami on a five-night voyage to Bimini and Costa Maya. This specialty sailing will feature a lineup of top-tier comedians delivering side-splitting performances.
Caribbean Itineraries for 2026-2027
Virgin Voyages is rolling out fresh itineraries for the winter 2026-2027 season, featuring new ports and a true weekender cruise. The four-night Fire & Sunset Soirees to Key West and Bimini will shift to a Thursday departure, allowing travellers to maximize their time with minimal vacation days required. The cruise line is also expanding its destination roster to include Panama City, Panama, and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
New five-night options include “Jamaican Daze & Bimini Breeze” with a stop in Ocho Rios and “Cayman Isles & Bimini Beach Miles” featuring a visit to Georgetown. Additionally, Virgin Voyages will soon open bookings for a 17-night Panama Canal voyage from Miami. The east-to-west version of this sailing sold out quickly in 2024, so travellers are encouraged to book early.
