The route will be the only nonstop connection between Seville and North America

Air Canada is bringing travellers closer to southern Spain with new nonstop seasonal flights between Montréal and Seville launching in September 2027.

The route will be the only nonstop connection between Seville and North America, marking Air Canada’s fifth destination in Spain. The service will begin Sept. 8, 2027, with three weekly flights, increasing to four times weekly from Oct. 1.

“The addition of Seville further bolsters Air Canada’s growing global network and cements Air Canada as the largest airline by seats offered between Canada and Spain,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, and President of Cargo, at Air Canada.

“As the only non-stop service between the city and North America, Air Canada’s new service will unlock more of Andalusia and the world for our customers and Aeroplan Members while delivering a step-change in global connectivity for Seville.”

Flights will operate on the airline’s Airbus A321XLR aircraft, featuring 14 Signature Class lie-flat seats and 168 Economy Class seats. The new service will connect through Montréal to destinations across North America, the Caribbean and Latin America. Travellers connecting to the U.S. can also use Montréal’s U.S. customs preclearance facilities.

Known for its history, culture and acclaimed cuisine, Seville also serves as a gateway to Andalusia. The route will offer travellers opportunities to explore southern Spain during the spring and fall, when milder temperatures make it easier to enjoy the region’s landmarks, festivals and outdoor lifestyle.

The new service complements Air Canada’s previously announced Montréal routes for summer 2027 to Basel-Mulhouse and Dubrovnik, as well as the extension of Tenerife, Lima and Guatemala City to year-round service.
