Air Canada Vacations
The virtual event will take place on August 28

August 6 - In this new normal, Air Canada Vacations is going virtual for its latest round of product launches, set to take place next month.

The tour operator’s first-ever virtual #ACVDreamMakers event will celebrate its 2020/2021 Sun Collection brochure and feature over 70 industry supplier partners in both French and English. Throughout the day, agents can chat directly with suppliers, watch videos, learn about destinations and products as well as download the most recent collateral and brochures in their very own virtual briefcase.

Plus, there’ll be prize giveaways and a presentation by Air Canada Vacations’ Managing Director, Nino Montagnese, and General Sales Manager in Quebec and Atlantic Canada, Guy Marchand.

The virtual event will take place on August 28, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Agents can register by clicking here.

And for the first time this year, travel agents are permitted to invite their customers to attend a dedicated Virtual Travel Show taking place on Aug. 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET. With the collaboration of ACV’s trade partners, customers will get the chance to gather information on their dream vacation, hear from top suppliers, and book with the travel agency of their choice. Travellers can register by clicking here.

We’ve adapted our format to ensure you’ll have every opportunity to meet with industry suppliers and gather all the information you need for the upcoming season,” said Montagnese in a letter to the trade. “And in an effort to rebuild traveller confidence, we’ve extended our virtual show to your customers on Aug. 29. This is the perfect opportunity for you to equip them with the informational tools they need or simply to inspire their next vacation.”

In his letter Montagnese also highlighted Air Canada Vacations’ most recent offerings, including its new ePackages shopping tool, special RV Experiences and the addition of multiple hotels across Canada to its product line.

While we’re all experiencing these unprecedented times, the desire for travel and adventure remains strong, that’s why it’s important to promote travel in Canada as well,” he said. “Throughout the rest of the year, we’ll continue to enhance the Canada Collection to include even more hotels and new ski adventures.

Agents are being reminded of ACV’s ‘Book Early, Save Big’ promotion on winter vacation packages to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. Clients have until Sept. 7, 2020 to save $400 per family and receive CareFree & CareFlexPlus travel protection plans for free. Alternatively, they can take advantage of ACV’s Upgraded Canada Promise and Upgraded Cruise Promise.

Rebuilding our industry and our business is no small feat, but we know that with the incredible support we’ve received from suppliers and partners we are equipped for the journey ahead,” Montagnese continued. “I look forward to seeing you all (virtually) during our upcoming Product Launches so that we can continue to work together towards making dreams travel.”
