Avianca travel advisory

Avianca informs travelers that, in compliance with new guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for all airlines:

All passengers traveling to the United States or connecting through the country, on flights departing after 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 3, 2026, must submit an attestation confirming that they have not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo—including transiting through an airport in that country—during the 21 days prior to boarding their flight to the United States. This measure is part of the country's public health preventive protocols in response to the Ebola virus.

To help ensure a smooth travel experience and avoid any inconvenience at the airport, Avianca recommends that passengers complete this requirement in advance. The digital attestation is available here and must be completed individually by each passenger.

This declaration will be mandatory for boarding. Therefore, each passenger must present proof of completion at the time of boarding (if the form was completed digitally) or a duly completed and signed paper declaration, which can be downloaded from the official CDC website here.

Passengers who fail to present this new declaration at the time of boarding will not be permitted to board their flight.

For further details about the official measure issued by U.S. authorities, travelers can visit the CDC website.
