News / Canadians warned to avoid all travel to Israel
The latest update, on June 15, advises Canadians to avoid all travel to Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip

The Canadian government has upped its travel advisory for Israel to the highest level, amid tensions in the Middle East.
The latest update, on June 15, advises Canadians to avoid all travel to Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
For Israel, the government tells travellers: “Avoid all travel to Israel due to ongoing hostilities, renewed tensions and the unpredictable security situation.”
The travel advisory, at travel.gc.ca, adds: “The security situation can deteriorate rapidly. Make sure your travel documents and those of your spouse and children are up to date and secure at all times.
“There are ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran. Drones, missiles and other projectiles have struck targets in Israel. Further attacks are likely to occur. Interceptions can produce falling military debris in Israel, Jerusalem and the West Bank.”
As reported earlier, airspace closures in the Middle East, including Israel’s, are leading to flight disruptions including delays and cancellations at Dubai International (DXB), the world’s busiest airport, and a complete closure of Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV).
