G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions have renewed their partnership for another 10 years.

Their collaboration, which saw the launch of ‘National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures’ and ‘National Geographic Family Journeys,’ will now carry into another decade of meaningful and impactful travel. Over the past 10 years, both product lines have supported 25 social enterprise projects and uplifted over 50,000 local people around the world through community tourism initiatives.

After launching its National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures in 2015, National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures were introduced in 2019. Over the past 10 years, there have been over 100 itineraries that centred around National Geographic’s legacy of science, exploration, education and storytelling. Each journey helps travellers connect with local communities and experience new cultures, plus supports the nonprofit National Geographic Society, which works to protect the world through exploration, research and education.

Combined, both collections visit 52 countries including South Africa, Japan, Egypt, Greece and Thailand. Travellers on National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures trips can meet  with monks to understand more about Buddhism in Chiang Mai, learn about protecting endangered carnivores from a researcher in the Greater Kruger National Park, explore ancient sites with an archaeologist in Athens and visit a non-profit cafe called Shedia, where groups will hear from a previously homeless guide about the impact of Greece’s financial crisis.

Trips include: Journeys: Explore Southern Africa; Japan Family Journey: From Ancient to Modern Times; Journeys: Discover Egypt; Journeys: Discover Greece; and Journeys: Iconic Thailand.
