Hyatt Hotels Corporation has appointed Eduardo Schutte as Senior Vice President, Commercial, Hyatt Inclusive Collection, to support the continued growth of its all-inclusive portfolio.

Effective July 27, Schutte will oversee the commercial strategy for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, including sales, revenue management, brand, marketing, distribution and other commercial functions. His mandate includes driving commercial performance, strengthening distribution capabilities and reinforcing Hyatt’s position in the leisure and all-inclusive segments.

Schutte will report to Javier Águila, President, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt, and work closely with Mark Vondrasek, Hyatt’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Eduardo brings a rare combination of hospitality operating depth, sophisticated distribution expertise and enterprise-scale commercial leadership, all of which will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection,” said Javier Águila, President, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt.

Under his leadership, I’m confident our commercial organization will reach new heights and play an even greater role in delivering on our ambition to be the world’s best all-inclusive organization.

Schutte joins Hyatt from Cross Border Xpress, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer. During his 30-plus-year career, he held senior roles with Grupo Posadas, TravelClick, LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, Hilton and Amadeus, leading teams in sales, marketing, revenue management, distribution, pricing, strategic partnerships and business development.

Growth Momentum

Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection now includes more than 150 resorts and nearly 58,000 rooms across Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.

The portfolio has expanded through acquisitions, including Apple Leisure Group in 2021 and Playa Hotels & Resorts in 2025, as well as strategic partnerships such as Hyatt’s joint venture with Piñero to manage Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts.

Recent additions to the collection include Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, Secrets Baby Beach Aruba and Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa. Hyatt has also completed major renovations at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort and Hyatt Zilara Cancun.

Looking ahead, the company plans to open Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos before the end of 2026.
