Intrepid Travel says 100% of all 2025 FAM fees have been donated directly to local communities through the Intrepid Foundation – raising US$12,000 for nonprofit projects in Vietnam, Colombia and Portugal.
This year 10 agents will embark on the Café Colombia adventure in April, with another 10 on the Vietnam Express Southbound in May. Agents will be accompanied by a Key Partnership Manager (KPM) host, a DMC representative, and a local leader.
Then in November, 11 agents will journey through Portugal, accompanied by a KPM host and a local leader for an immersive exploration of the region’s culture and sustainability efforts.
Advisors gain hands-on experience with Intrepid’s sustainable travel model while making meaningful contributions to the communities they help their clients explore, says Hernandez.
Every fee directly funds grassroots organizations, ensuring 100% impact, says Intrepid. Beneficiaries include: Save Vietnam’s Wildlife: Defending biodiversity by rescuing endangered species, rehabilitating wildlife, and restoring critical habitats in Vietnam’s most threatened ecosystems; Patrulla Aérea Civil Colombiana (PAC): Providing life-saving healthcare to Colombia’s most isolated rural communities, where access to hospitals and medical specialists remains a daily challenge; and Refood 4 Good: Tackling food insecurity by rescuing high-quality surplus food and redistributing it to people in need while reducing environmental waste.
