News / KLM to start flying to YVR and YYC in July
KLM has announced six additional destinations
June 4 - KLM has announced plans to further its route network in July to destinations that include both Vancouver and Calgary.
Compared to June, during which the airline is expanding its intercontinental network to include Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Paramaribo and Quito, the number of flights in July will increase by more than 60%. This means that KLM will operate 25%-30% of its normal number of flights.
The range of expanded destinations are primarily in Southern Europe, like Alicante, Bilbao, Bologna, Ibiza, Istanbul, Nice, Porto, Catania and Split. In total, the planned European network comprises 73 destinations in July, up from 30 in May and an expected 45 in June.
In July, KLM has announced six additional destinations – Vancouver, Calgary, Jakarta, Denpasar, Washington and San Francisco – along with frequency expansions to destinations it’s already offering in June, for a total of 51 destinations. Approximately half of these destinations are currently only flown for cargo.
As soon as travel restrictions are lifted, KLM will also open these destinations for ticket sales where possible.
With July’s network expansions, KLM will once again serve 78% of the initially planned number of destinations, with more than 3,000 departing flights at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Aalborg, Aberdeen, Alicante, Athens, Barcelona, Basel, Bergen, Berlin Tegel, Bilbao, Billund, Birmingham, Bucharest, Bologna, Bordeaux, Bristol, Budapest, Brussels, Cagliari, Catania, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Edinburgh, Florence, Gdansk, Geneva, Genoa, Glasgow, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Hanover, Helsinki, Ibiza, Inverness, Istanbul, Kiev, Copenhagen, Krakow, Leeds Bradford, London City, London Heathrow, Lisbon, Luxembourg, Lyon, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Montpellier, Moscow, Milan, Munich, Nuremberg, Newcastle, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Oporto, Prague, Rome, St. Petersburg, Split, Stavanger, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Toulouse, Trondheim, Valencia, Venice, Warsaw, Vienna, Zagreb, Zurich.
