A network outage at Pearson Airport causing headaches for some travellers this morning has been fixed, however Pearson is advising passengers they could still experience delays through the morning as operations get back to normal.
According to initial reports from CityNews, the outage hit both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, with outbound flights to the U.S. particularly impacted. “Lots of people standing around. It’s a zoo here,” one passenger told CityNews.
An X post from Toronto Pearson just before 6 a.m. said: “Please be advised there is a network outage this morning that is impacting some airport operations. We’re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Passengers may experience longer than usual check in times, and impacts to some flights.”
Toronto Pearson posted again at 6:52 a.m. with this update: “The network outage impacting some functions earlier this morning has been resolved. Operations are improving but expect some longer-than-usual lines through the morning. Airport staff are managing the flow of travellers.”
