Future of Travel: A virtual conference by Travelweek!
These are difficult times for the travel industry especially in Canada, but we are beginning to see glimpses of sunnier days ahead in places like the U.S. and Europe. With summer 2021 now on the horizon, top-level industry executives are set to share their insights at Travelweek’s next Future of Travel event.
‘Future of Travel: Sunnier Days Ahead’ will take place Wednesday May 19, from 1 – 3 p.m. It’s the fourth instalment in Travelweek’s Future of Travel series of virtual conferences and, as always, it includes a stellar lineup of travel industry execs, updates from key suppliers, prize opportunities and more.
“The resilience of the travel industry over the past 14 months has been nothing short of remarkable,” says Travelweek’s Publisher, Devin Kinasz. “The vaccination rollout is heartening and there’s optimism for travel by the end of the year. We’ve heard from many travel agents that bookings for the end of 2021 and into 2022 are strong. Right now however we’re heading into a second summer with restrictions almost certainly still in place, and there are also concerns about programs like CERB and CEWS winding down.”
Kinasz continues: “These are still very challenging times for the travel industry and we’re honoured to have such an incredible group of keynote speakers for ‘Future of Travel: Sunnier Days Ahead’, ready to share their thoughts on the recovery of this great industry.”
Keynote speakers slated to join Kinasz and Travelweek’s editorial team for interviews are:
• Joseph Adamo, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Transat and President, Transat Distribution Canada • Marsha Walden, CEO, Destination Canada • Nino Montagnese, Vice President, ACV • Gustavo Segura, Minister of Tourism, Costa Rica • Brad Ford, President, Insight Vacations • Chris Thompson, CEO, Brand USA • Elaine Carnegie, President, Canlink Travel Representatives • Zeina Gedeon, CEO, TPI
The May 19 event will also include updates from WestJet, WestJet Vacations, Globus family of brands, Bahia Principe, Royal Caribbean, Amtrak Railbookers, Grenada, Disney Parks, Myrtle Beach and more.
Travelweek also wishes to thank Hermitage Bay, Carlisle Bay, Jamaica Inn, Round Hill Hotel & Villas, Tryall Club, Anse Chastanet, Jade Mountain, Spice Island Beach Resort and Ocean Hotels Barbados for their sponsorship.
Pre-registered ‘Future of Travel: Sunnier Days Ahead’ attendees also qualify to win prizes, including a $500 VISA gift card grand prize.
