TRAVELSAVERS
She will focus on expanding the consortium's reach and supporting existing affiliates in Ontario

TRAVELSAVERS Canada’s recent appointment of Daphne Sword as Director, Business Development, gives the consortium what it says is the largest service team in Canada.

Sword is well-versed in the retail side of the industry thanks to her career start as a travel advisor. She was with Sears Travel for 15 years, and most recently she was Managing Director for Red Label Vacations. In her new TRAVELSAVERS role, in addition to bringing on new agencies, she will support existing affiliates in Ontario as a business analyst.

“This is such a fabulous team of individuals,” Sword says. “I’m so excited to make an impact with the owners we work with. With its strategic approach, long-standing partnerships with vendors and agency relationships, TRAVELSAVERS Canada is second to none. I love what the company stands for.

TRAVELSAVERS Canada’s SVP and General Manager, Jane Clementino, says TRAVELSAVERS Canada is poised for growth as it continues to prioritize its agency partners and uphold its people-centric ethos.

A growing team and agency roster, various engagement initiatives and the recent launch of its educational program, KORE, make for a groundbreaking start to the year for the consortium, says Clementino.

The TRAVELSAVERS model leads with a commitment to service and consultation. In growing our Business Analyst team, we’re able to provide the best-in-class experience,” she says. “As demand increases, the expansion of our team will be pivotal. Daphne’s knowledge and skills will be invaluable as we continue to uplevel the business.”

A new round of Dine and Discover events, facilitating one-on-one connections among travel agency owners, advisors and preferred partners, kick off March 20 in Montreal.
