The U.S. has extended its COVID-19 vaccination requirement for non-U.S. air travellers entering the U.S.

As outlined in an Emergency Amendment document filed by the TSA, and picked up in consumer media outlets, flights departing at or after 00:01 EST today, January 9, 2023, non-U.S. passengers entering the U.S. by air must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The order has been extended through April 10, 2023.

Foreign carriers must have proof from each non-U.S. passenger of their COVID vaccination. Those passengers who cannot show proof of vaccination can’t board the plane.

This is the latest extension of COVID vaccination mandates for air travel into the U.S. by non-U.S. passengers.
