Air Transat is connecting more travellers to its international network for the busy months ahead
Air Transat is resuming its domestic schedule for summer 2022, with an eye to not only servicing a number of Canadian routes, but also to connecting more travellers to its international network for the busy months ahead.
The airline’s Toronto-Vancouver and Toronto-Calgary flights all started yesterday, May 1. Meanwhile the Vancouver-Montreal flights start today, May 2. And Calgary-Montreal service starts tomorrow, May 3.
Air Transat opened the books on its summer 2022 international schedule in March. At the height of the 2022 season, Air Transat will operate more than 250 direct flights weekly on 69 direct routes.
Air Transat’s international flights operate out of Toronto and Montreal, plus Paris and London are available from Quebec City.
From Toronto, Air Transat will serve 15 European cities for summer 2022. Flights to Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Dublin, Lamezia, Paris, Rome, Venice and Zagreb, plus Glasgow, Lisbon, London, Manchester and Porto. Air Transat will also fly to Faro year-round.
From Montreal, Air Transat has started to resume its direct flights to 16 European destinations including, for the first time, Amsterdam, plus Athens, Basel-Mulhouse, Barcelona, Brussels, London, Madrid, Porto, Rome and Venice, as well as Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse. There’s also Malaga and Lisbon, as well as Paris.
Starting May 17 more passengers will be making use of Air Transat’s Europe flights now that Air Transat and WestJet have officially launched their transatlantic codeshare, in the works since November 2021.
Plus, the Transat-WestJet codeshare agreement also connects no fewer than 14 Canadian cities to Toronto and Montreal, opening up connection opportunities to Transat’s Europe routes for passengers from more than a dozen Canadian gateways.
Connections are also available through Toronto and Montreal to Transat’s U.S., Mexico Caribbean destinations.
Until the end of October, Air Transat will operate its flights to Western Canada with its new-generation Airbus A321neoLR aircraft.
