Flair Airlines has leased two new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

The aircraft will enter service and fly Flair’s summer 2023 schedule, which has grown 35% year-over-year.

The leases were facilitated by SMBC Aviation Capital, the world’s second largest aircraft leasing company.

One aircraft was delivered to Flair Airlines on June 13 and a second aircraft will follow later this summer.

Earlier this week Flair announced its dedicated Specialist Customer Service Team based in Montreal. The team began operations in January 2023. The most recent Canadian Transportation Agency data showed that Flair had the highest number of complaints per 100 flights of all the major airlines in Canada. According to the CTA’s data, between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023, Flair saw an average of 15.3 complaints per 100 flights.

Flair has also committed to releasing monthly operational performance metrics, including completion factor, on-time performance, load factor, passengers and emissions.
